10 TIMES John Cena Buried The Miz

7. WAY Over The Limit

Entrenched as he was in WWE's main event scene before John Cena finally got near him in the run-up to WrestleMania, The Miz was the feature performer in all the promotional material for WWE's May 2011 Over The Limit pay-per-view.

That sort of paraphernalia often has to be arranged a few months in advance, but even WWE management couldn't have imagined how far he'd have fallen in that time. It was his penultimate main event match of the year, and last show-closing singles WWE Title match to date.

That's if it can even be considered a real match. By the time the show rolled around, The Miz had been so brutally reduced that he had to rely on sidekick Alex Riley joining him in what amounted to an extended beatdown on The Champ. The 'I Quit' stipulation permitted the sh*tkicking, not that it really made any difference.

Cena survived cartoonishly cruel carnage ill-suited to the clean-cut crew. He defiantly mocked Miz with each rejection before the former Champion attempted to steal back the title with a recorded quitting akin to The Rock's theft of the title from Mankind in 1999. After the ruse was exposed and A-Ry was despatched, Miz literally ran away like a frightened toddler from 'Big Match John'. His eventual capture and quickfire submission was child's play.
