10 TIMES John Cena Buried The Miz

8. Unfinished Business

The Miz John Cena
WWE

With The Rock dispatched back to Hollywood for another year, John Cena could now fully focus on kicking the latest pretender to his throne all the way out the kingdom. He began in earnest, taking back his WWE Title at the earliest possible opportunity following his surprising WrestleMania 27 loss.

The typically outdated nu-metal soundtrack that accompanied the Extreme Rules pay-per-view introduction video saw John Cena's gurning rage over top of a singer screaming "I want justice". His apparent version of vindication was squashing The Miz like a bug and claiming a win over his former tag team partner in the process.

Fought under escape or pinfall rules, Miz was left for Cena to toy with after newly-turned heel R-Truth broke into the structure to decimate John Morrison. With the 'Shaman Of Sexy' saved from a Cena-smashing, pathetic heel Miz had absolutely no chance of retaining. 'Big Match John' comfortably reversed a Skull Crushing Finale into a Super Attitude Adjustment for the win, as if it were ever in doubt.

Cena's final act that night was to announce to the live crowd that Osama Bin Laden had been "compromised to a permanent end". There wasn't a more fitting way to describe The Miz' own Championship demise.
