10 TIMES John Cena Buried The Miz

6. Truth Bomb

The Miz John Cena

The Miz and R-Truth were unlikely beneficiaries of WWE's abysmal mishandling of CM Punk's post-'Pipe Bomp' period as maniacal malcontents as aggrieved with the corrupt WWE system as Punk was always intended to be.

After crashing a steel cage pay-per-view main event and later defeating 'The Voice Of The Voiceless' and Triple H, the duo were again afterthoughts when they happened to get in the way of The Rock and John Cena's pre-WrestleMania pinch-fight.

'Big Match John' and 'The Great One' were already certs to draw astronomical money at WrestleMania 28 - it was soul-destroying to see what else had to fall apart in order to protect an already-bulletproof aura. Despite headlining a Madison Square Garden Survivor Series 2011, Awesome Truth were no exception.

Truth was turned heel for a one-month programme with Cena that he lost comfortably. Miz was gasping for air when the unit salvaged something from his torrid time with 'The Champ'. Both were put to the sword in humiliating fashion at the November supershow despite the complete lack of cohesion between the babyfaces. Dissent should have triggered defeat if anything, but neither Cena nor his WrestleMania foe had any intention of looking weak in front of a venue as small as WWE's hallowed hall.
