10 TIMES John Cena Buried The Miz

3. Couples Therapy

The Miz John Cena
WWE

Having sat back during the original Total Bella spoofs and delivered his opening salvo on Talking Smack a week prior, Cena first took Maryse to task on accusations she'd made about Nikki and Brie playing politics to axe a prior return years earlier.

Ignoring the latent hypocrisy of his words considering the perpetually pushed former Divas Champion that hung off his arm, Cena continued the onslaught, accusing Maryse of stealing a paycheck and calling her a waste of space. To be fair, the same couldn't be said of Nikki. She was, like her boyfriend, a walking billboard for WWEshop.com.

When Cena finally got on to Miz, he delivered his standard rah rah critique of the man that had since supplanted him as the company's hardest worker. In essence, Miz had at long last broke into the conversation between The Rock and 'The Champ' from six years prior - he was that version of John Cena now.

It perhaps explained why he was cheered so vociferously when the couples finally collided at WrestleMania. Similar again to 'Big Match John' in 2011, he also lost.
