10 Times Real Sports Stars Gatecrashed WWE

9. Vinnie Jones

But Rooney wasn€™t the first footballer to pick a fight with a WWE Superstar. Back in 1998, when Rooney was just 13 years old, ex-Wimbledon midfielder Vinnie Jones made an appearance at the Capital Carnage pay-per-view in London. Jones had been a part of Wimbledon€™s famed €œcrazy gang€, making him a perfect fit for the Attitude Era of the late 90s. The footballer-turned actor was booked as the special enforcer for the Fatal Fourway main event, which pitted Stone Cold Steve Austin against Kane, The Undertaker and Mankind. But a scuffle with the Big Boss Man earlier in the night saw Jones €œred-carded€ and evacuated from the building before the match had even begun. Of course, in true Attitudinal fashion, Jones returned at the end of the show to help Austin dish out a Stunner to the Big Boss Man, before the evening closed with Jones, Austin and Earl Hebner sharing a well-deserved beer together. It€™s almost a shame that the Attitude Era was so eventful that moments like this are often forgotten.
