10 Times Terrible Wrestlers Put On Great Matches

3. Crush (Vs. Randy Savage) - WrestleMania X

That man Savage again, as he manages to drag a three-star match out of the third best member of Demolition, Crush. This one even came hampered by some strange rules, as the way to win the match was via first pinning your opponent outside the ring and leaving them unable to make it back into the ring within a minute. It sounds like a decent idea, but a minute is a long, long time when you are paying attention.

Maybe Crush wasn't as awful as I always remember either (he was), but what isn't up for debate is just how world-class Savage was. This was Crush's first major PPV singles match (a loss against Doink a year prior surely doesn't count), and he worked his hardest to put something decent on.

If you're only going to watch one Crush match, make it this one, even if it does end with his feet tied up and on the losing side of things.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
