10 Times The Undertaker Sucked At WWE SummerSlam

10. The Undertaker vs. JBL (2004)

Returning to his roots in the Spring of 2004, The Undertaker was reborn at WrestleMania XX as The Deadman. This followed a stint from 2000-2003 during which the man portrayed a more realistic figure, one who had a personal life away from WWE. Despite going back to his bread and butter, re-integrating the supernatural didn't do a whole lot to make 2004 a great year for The Undertaker. A tepid feud against The Dudley Boyz followed his match with Kane at 'Mania, and sandwiched in between was a short rivalry against Booker T. Things weren't looking any brighter by SummerSlam, when 'Taker met JBL for the WWE Title. Fans were really trying to show interest in Undertaker around this time, but he was not the right opponent for Layfield. After the fast-paced matches and exciting chemistry between JBL and Eddie Guerrero, it was hard for Undertaker to follow. At SummerSlam 2004, the pair had a slow-moving contest, one which failed to really satisfy.
