10 Times The Undertaker Sucked At WWE SummerSlam

9. The Undertaker & Big Show vs. X-Pac & Kane (1999)

It wouldn't be long after SummerSlam 1999 that The Undertaker elected to take a break from the then-WWF. Looking to heal up various injuries he had accrued through years of physical abuse, the 'Ministry Of Darkness' style Undertaker walked off WWF screens in September. Not returning until May, 2000, this tag-team bout from SummerSlam was thus 'Taker's last PPV effort before going on hiatus. For whatever reason, the tag-team known as 'The Unholy Alliance', Big Show and Undertaker, never really caught fire. On one side, Big Show hadn't really exploded out of the traps upon jumping over from WCW, and an association with 'The Deadman' didn't do anything to rectify that. At SummerSlam '99, Big Show and 'Taker met Kane and X-Pac. The quartet were given 12 minutes to work with, but the action was uninspiring. Kane and X-Pac had been successful as an odd couple tandem, but there was little of any real satisfaction found during this one. Worse yet, Undertaker injured his groin during the match, something which accelerated his departure the following month.
