10 Times The Undertaker's Ego Ran Wild In WWE

1. Diamond Into Coal

Wiki

The Undertaker has captured a variation on a WWE World Title on seven separate occasions - defeating Hulk Hogan for his first in his first year with the company.

He has also cleanly defeated Hulk Hogan. He has defeated Kurt Angle. The Rock. Shawn Michaels. He has defeated every member of Evolution on the Grandest Stage Of Them All. He has defeated Shane McMahon.

He amassed the greatest, most lucrative, most legendary Streak in the history of pro wrestling, having propelled WrestleMania into the stadium era on the strength of it.

He occupies the rarest of stratospheres, having been awarded a ***** match - in WWE - by the Wrestling Observer.

And he never celebrated those achievements with anything approaching the gusto with which he annihilated that poor f*cker DDP at SummerSlam 2001, Jesus f*cking Christ. Re-watch that match. He launches himself at Page, wedged between the ropes and cage, with the force of a godd*mn cannon. It's as neat a visual as any to symbolise Page's entire WWF tenure. It was a strange enough burial, it itself - but what's really strange is that 'Taker genuinely appeared to have worked himself into a shoot. He celebrated that win like it was the most important of his career.

It was as if Diamond Dallas Page genuinely was the enemy, and not a performer who happened to make his living in a different wrestling company.
