10 Times TNA Blatantly Ripped Off WWE

3. Sting Steals Undertaker's Vignettes

Undertaker Sting Back in 2011 fans were left open mouthed by a series of vignettes which showed a mysterious figure in a trench coat walking through the rain. The promos ended with a date burning in flaming text: 2.21.11. Many fans believed that this was meant to be the man called Sting, but alas it was none other than the Undertaker, making his annual return just before WrestleMania, in order to defend his undefeated streak (Ha, remember when that used to be a thing?) Moving on, just one week after Taker returned, TNA aired a strikingly similar vignette with a mysterious figure in a trench coat walking through the rain. Original thinking? Who needs that? The date that burned at the end was 3.3.11, the date of TNA's Live Impact special the next week. Wouldn't you know this really was the Stinger. He would return and defeat Jeff Hardy for the TNA Championship. Hardy would receive a rematch for that title at Victory Road, but that match is remembered for all the wrong reasons. (Go on, look it up if you don't know!)

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
