It seems like a rather large understatement to say that Bill Goldberg's WWE run wasn't anywhere near as memorable as his WCW tenure. What makes the statement even more frustrating is that Goldberg had some almighty opponents in WWE, but a combination of his own failings and the promotion's rather silly booking of him at times, made the entire period feel a little flat. Lighting up WCW in the late-90's, Goldberg couldn't parlay that incendiary run into something memorable during his time with WWE. First facing The Rock, Bill would move on to have a lengthy feud opposite Triple H, even bagging the World Title at Unforgiven in a decent match. Losing the belt just months later at Armageddon back to The Game (in a Triple Threat match also involving Kane), Goldberg would be gone by the Spring of 2004, memorably having a bizarre match against another departing star, Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania XX. 2003-2004 was a difficult time for Triple H, physically, and wasn't really the best time for him to be facing limited in-ring workers like Goldberg.
