10 Times Triple H Lost At WrestleMania

8. The Undertaker - WrestleMania X-Seven

Despite the loss at WrestleMania in 1999, Triple H's career was flying. He emerged as a genuine main event star in the latter half of that year, riding the momentum all the way to a successful WWF Championship defence at WrestleMania 2000, one of the rare times a heel has regained the gold in the main event on the grandest stage. By WrestleMania X-Seven, he was one of the biggest stars in the company. However, the man he was going up against, was an even bigger star - The Undertaker. That meant one thing for Triple H: he was doing the job. Everyone lost to 'Taker back in those days and, although it would have made sense to put the young sensation over, the Deadman won following a devastating Last Ride. Still, Triple H came out looking good. It had been a war, one of the best WrestleMania brawls ever. He'd done the job, but there wasn't much shame in losing a fantastic match to an icon like The Undertaker.
