10 Times Triple H Ripped Off Ideas
1. Evolution (The Four Horsemen)
Believe me, Evolution is no mystery; just take what Ric Flair and the gang expertly pulled off in the NWA/WCW days, rinse, and repeat.
OK there's a little more to it than that, I suppose.
In much the same way the sharply dressed, pompous Four Horsemen, in their many varying forms, had dominated the NWA and WCW over the years, Triple H decided that a similar approach could be used to cement himself as WWE's present, whilst also using his and original Horseman 'Naytch's experience to usher in the next generation in Randy Orton and Batista.
It worked an absolute treat...for all the right and wrong reasons.
Trips managed to keep himself well and truly on top of the pile, at the expense of the likes of Kane and Goldberg. Yet, Flair was also able to find a new lease on life, and Orton and Batista both went from strength to strength before ultimately turning their backs on the faction in favour of highly successful singles runs.
It may not have been for everyone at the time, but 'The Game's Four Horsemen homage definitely fulfilled its original purpose and then some.
