10 Times Triple H Ripped Off Ideas

2. NXT (PWG)

Before NXT became one of the major homes for stars usually found bumping out of their skins on the independent scene, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) was the place known for bringing the greatest talent not signed to a WWE contract together under one roof.

Over the years, stars from TNA, ROH, and many more all competed under the PWG roof for a time, leading to an absolute embarrassment of riches for a spell. The likes of AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Johnny Gargano, and Tommaso Ciampa (honestly we could be here for days looking through their alumni!) all helped but PWG on the map as a super indie.

However, Triple H and William Regal knew they needed a piece of this electric action that was calling PWG home in order to take NXT to the next level, stealing away El Generico (Sami Zayn) and Kevin Steen (soon-to-be Owens) as they began building their own in-house version of the critically acclaimed promotion.

In essence, NXT became a shined-up copy of what PWG had charmingly been for so long; a place where the best talent on the planet go to put on really good wrestling matches in an intimate, riveting environment.
