10 Times Triple H Ripped Off Ideas
8. Halloween Havoc (WCW)
Throughout the unfortunately stale pandemic era of professional wrestling, NXT has regularly found itself dipping into the past as a way of providing fans with a bit of comforting nostalgia and desperately getting eyes on their struggling product.
NXT TakeOver: In Your House was soon followed by a set of The Great American Bash specials on Wednesday nights. And of course, pre-empty arenas, WarGames (as we'll later touch upon) has been an annual NXT event for some time now. Yet, the most recent example of Triple H taking something from the past and slapping an NXT sticker on it to pop a rating came on October 28 last year, with the reveal of NXT: Halloween Havoc.
However, whereas the WCW original would regularly find itself leaning a little too hard into the spooky theme - see: The Yeti at Halloween Havoc '95 - the mind behind the once-developmental brand struck up just the right balance between tricks and treats when it came to ghoulish shenanigans and impressive in-ring action.
It may not have been a show conceived originally by 'The Game' himself, but he undoubtedly produced an event worthy of carrying its unmistakable logo.
