Vince McMahon has always loved foreign heels. What's funny about it is that he doesn't even care if the guy is really a foreigner or even somebody that used to work for him under a different name. It just seems like Vince will always try to push a foreigner because it's such an easy thing to get a crowd chant "USA" against whoever that foreign heel is. Lord Tensai debuted on the first Raw after WrestleMania 28 in 2012 and was immediately thrust into the spotlight. Even though everybody knew he used to be in WWE as Alberto or A-Train, they didn't call him that. They just said that he went to Japan, changed several things about his life including his look (with tattoos on his head) and he was a new man known as Lord Tensai. He went on to beat main event babyfaces like John Cena and CM Punk. Those wins weren't that clean, but they were significant. He was rumored to become a WWE or World Champion soon after his debut, but it didn't materialize for him. They ended up dropping the "Lord" part of the name so he became Tensai and then he fell from there. He was just another guy. Eventually he became a tag wrestler with Brodus Clay. Earlier this year he retired. They brought him back two years ago to be a foreign heel main eventer. While the attempt was there, the execution was not.
