In the history of WWE two men have won the Royal Rumble from the #2 starting position (which is just the same as starting at #1, really), Rey Mysterio, and Vincent K. McMahon. The match began with Stone Cold stomping a mudhole in McMahon before the #3 entrant appears, and Austin gets distracted. McMahon cannily uses this distraction to escape under the bottom rope, but Stone Cold is onto him, and the two fiercest of rivals brawl through the arena. McMahon leads Austin into a Corporation trap, and The Rattlesnake is beaten down.
