10 Times Vince McMahon HATED What He Was Seeing

1. WCW Raw

It's amazing to think that Monday Night Raw almost belonged to WCW. That was part of Vince's grand plan when he acquired the shell of his old competition in 2001; Monday nights would belong to WCW, and SmackDown would remain a WWF show. That'd let McMahon create the illusion of a brand war long before the first Draft.

Booker T vs. Buff Bagwell shattered those plans.

Their match on the 2 July episode of Raw convinced McMahon that WCW wasn't strong enough on its own to carry an entire prime time product. Fans in Washington booed the headliner, and they treated both WCW stars like total jobbers. It was a career low point for Booker, the end of the road (pretty much) for Buff and a defining moment for WCW's offshoot potential.

Vince cancelled any and all ideas to run WCW independently, and he ended up killing off the invasion angle four months later at Survivor Series. He'd wobbled when seeing how little his audience cared for WCW action, and that was that.
