Fast-forward to the 2015 iteration of WWE's Survivor Series, and Sheamus was standing tall as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Following a tournament final between Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, the big Irishman cashed in his 'Money In The Bank' briefcase on Reigns. The idea was simple, Sheamus would be elevated as a heel by cruelly snatching the belt away from the babyface. Things didn't quite work out as planned. Revealed as the newest centrepiece of The Authority, Sheamus was not a big hit with fans. Even when he formed the League Of Nations alongside 'King' Barrett, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio, people didn't flock to watch Monday Night Raw. Indeed, ratings were low during the short period Sheamus was the champ, which led Vince McMahon to take action. Weeks after winning the title, he was defeated by Roman Reigns on Raw. The short title run is an indication of McMahon's displeasure over sagging ratings whilst Sheamus was champion. Now, he's already threatening to slump back down to the mid card pack, which must be pretty dissatisfying for the man. Questions remain over whether or not he'll be given the chance to headline again.
