Undoubtedly one of the worst main events the pay-per-view series has ever witnessed, Diesel's WWF Title defence against Mabel at SummerSlam 1995 was the pits. It wasn't a match many fans particularly wanted, but McMahon put the weight of the WWF machine behind the big man at the King Of The Ring.

Ahead of others in the tournament like Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, 'King' Mabel was crowned. A popular mid-card babyface in the early-to-mid-1990's, Mabel was part of Men On A Mission with his partner Mo. They were an attraction, but not one that could be turned into main event box office.

That's something McMahon found out when he tried to push Mabel into the headline pack. Fans rebelled on the idea, something not aided by the fact the man was utterly atrocious inside the ring.

Mabel couldn't live up to the WWF's hype during matches, and his main event experiment was all but over by the end of the year. That wasn't soon enough for those believing the awkward big man (who injured numerous peers) had no place in main events.
