10 Times WCW Broke With Reality
3. Judy Bagwell On A Forklift
The Judy Bagwell On A Forklift Match has become a synonym among wrestling fans for anything so strange it defies explanation or forgiveness. The match has its origins in Chris 'Positively' Kanyon using the Diamond Cutter on Buff Bagwell's mother Judy, then stalking her and seeking her services as a valet, but really no storyline can excuse the spectacle of a middle-aged woman raised up on a forklift while two men fight to see who gets her.
In the vortex of madness that was 2000's New Blood Rising, the whole mother-on-a-forklift thing wasn't enough for WCW. Not for them the mundanity of dangling random women over the ring to fuel a wrestling feud. No, this match needed a very special ingredient to push it over the edge of sanity.
Actor, former champion and icon of WCW's poor decision-making David Arquette duly emerged from the wings to interfere on Kanyon's behalf.
Finally Buff won to crowd bemusement, Judy was released from her torment and the whole tragic affair passed into the realms of wrestling failure legend.
