No Hell In A Cell match has ever been quite as breath-taking as Mankind vs. The Undertaker at King Of The Ring 1998. Knowing he couldn't top Shawn Michaels' prior work in the Cell, Mick Foley decided to turn his body into a crash test dummy and centre the match around two hair-raising, potentially-life-threatening bumps.

Both make remembering the finish impossible for ol' Mick.

He told on the timeless Beyond The Mat documentary that he doesn't remember smiling, working on or taking thumb tack bumps after falling through the cage roof. In hindsight, it's ridiculous that this kind of reckless behaviour was allowed on live pay-per-view. Without hyperbole, there's a very good chance Foley could've been killed.

'Taker thought he was when he peered down though the hole in the mesh at Mick's prone body. Backstage, Foley alarmingly asked anyone who would listen if he'd forgotten to put the tacks spot in. He hadn't, and that should've been the last thing on his battered mind.
