9. Edge And Litas Live Sex Celebration (January 9, 2006)
By 2006, Adam 'Edge' Copeland had become one of the best heels on WWE television. The wrestling world had generally sided with Matt Hardy once news leaked that Edge and Lita were having a love affair behind his back. In typical fashion, WWE used this real-life heat to their own gain, and the 'Rated-R Superstar' was born. In early 2006, Edge promised that he and Lita would hold a 'Live Sex Celebration' inside the ring on Monday Night Raw. Naturally, this happened several years before the company switched to a PG child-friendly format, but it was even pretty crazy for a TV-14 audience. Admittedly, the segment turned out tame, although it was more about the hype beforehand than anything else. Cavorting in the middle of the ring, Lita and Edge then disappeared underneath the sheets to bed. A random nip-slip was visible from Lita, something which only made this particular portion of the show even more controversial. When Raw finished, few were taking about anything else that had happened on the program.
