10 Times Wrestlers Ignored Direct Orders

10. Big Cass

So is "Daniel Bryan's" face.

On the 1 May 2018 SmackDown, fans yawned their way through WWE's latest attempt to convince everyone that Big Cass was the next killer heel. Typically, they did this by pretending that people care about height, as though being shorter-than-average is some sort of dagger through anyone's heart.

Cass ridiculed Bryan for daring to be shorter than someone close to 7ft, then punted the cosplay Daniel impersonating him right in the head. After that, the heel went to town on the hired-in extra and beat the living sh*t out of him. That was the part Vinnie Mac had a problem with; he'd specifically asked that Cass hit a big boot and leave it at that.

The punch-fest wasn't in the script, and it ticked McMahon off that someone he had high hopes for would defy his directives so readily. This wasn't the only reason why Cass was canned the next month, but it certainly didn't help his case.
