10 Times Wrestlers Ignored Direct Orders

8. Gail Kim

Gail Kim Battle Royal WWE
WWE Network

By the summer of 2011, Gail Kim was long-past tired of the WWE system.

The push she richly deserved after revitalising women's wrestling over in TNA wouldn't come though, and enough was enough. So, on the 1 August episode of Raw, Gail decided that she didn't really feel like wrestling that night. During a Divas Battle Royal, Kim walked over to Alicia Fox, brawled briefly and then rolled out of the ring.

She eliminated herself, and didn't return. That obviously wasn't what WWE had planned for the match, although it's worth noting that Kim claims agents told her to get eliminated within the first minute. Probably not like that. Days later on Twitter, Kim announced that she'd decided to quit the company completely, but promised fans she'd still be wrestling.

Gail had ignored WWE's plan to have someone else eliminate her (which is kinda' how Battle Royals work), and she hasn't wrestled a match in the company since. Her sudden protest is one of the most unique acts of rebellion ever.
