10 Times Wrestlers Lost Their Title Belts
2. Natalya Steals Jim Neidhart's WWF Tag Title
A heart-warming tale that's done the rounds on Reddit over the years, this one concerns the Neidhart family.
Story goes that, way back 1987 when The Anvil was one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions with Bret Hart, he left his travelling case lying around ahead of his next rip. His daughter Natalya, being around 5 at the time, came across this and took the belt out of it to play with. Fair enough, as absolutely every small child (and 32 year old journalist) likes running around with a wrestling belt.
Anvil, not realising this had happened, simply zipped up his case and headed out the door. Some not-inconsiderable hours of cross-country travelling later he arrived at the show in New York City, unzipped his bag, and discovered he was missing about 15 pounds of wrestling gold. Cell phones and instant messaging not being the norm back then, the whereabouts of the title remained a mystery until he returned home to find his daughter proudly stomping around the house in it.
Whether or not Anvil got her back in 2010 by making himself Divas Champion for the afternoon, remains a mystery.
