10 Times Wrestlers No-Sold Killer Moves

6. Lio Rush No-Sells A Sit-Out Powerbomb Off A Ladder & Through A Table

When people talk about modern wrestlers "not knowing how to sell," this is generally one of the examples that they cite.

At CZW's Once in a Lifetime event in 2017, Lio Rush squared off against bitter rival Joey Janela in what would be the final indy appearance for the former. The most memorable moment from the match saw Janela and Rush fighting their way up the same side of a ladder. Janela took advantage of Rush trying to climb past him by grabbing him by the legs and plummeting him downward with a devastating sit-out powerbomb through a table that was situated underneath them.

Or, at least, it was supposed to be devastating.

To say that Lio Rush "no-sold" this move is an understatement, in that he quite literally bounced right back to his feet just after he'd crashed to the mat. Now, this is not to say that "Hulking up" is completely unwelcome to pro-wrestling, as it can absolutely work in certain circumstances. But after a high-impact move like this? Well, this is the kind of no-sell that makes Jim Cornette take an extra dose of his blood pressure medication.

Of course, this is not a knock on The Man of The Hour as a wrestler. He's actually quite solid in the ring and has spectacularly innovative offense. But this? This was not a good look for him.
