10 Times Wrestlers No-Sold Killer Moves

7. Austin Aries No-Sells Starship Pain

Austin Aries is, to put it nicely, difficult to work with.

In what was allegedly the last match on his contract with Impact Wrestling, Aries dropped the Impact World Championship to Johnny Impact at 2018's Bound For Glory event. The finish of the match saw the former John Morrison hit Aries with Starship Pain for the 1-2-3, earning his first and only Impact World Championship. In what was supposed to be a crowning moment for Johnny Impact, Aries would go into business for himself, springing up to his feet almost right away then yelling at and flipping off the crowd on his way up the ramp.

Watching the tape, one has to feel bad for the former Johnny Nitro. Instead of celebrating his monumental victory, he seems entirely fixated on Aries' childlike antics. The former Johnny Nitro is even seen mouthing "are you kidding me?" back at Aries, which the latter obviously ignores.

Following the bout, reports blamed Aries' actions on a mild concussion he'd suffered during the match. Nevertheless, Impact has seemingly soured on Aries, as he'd never be seen again in the company and has only be seen sparingly in other promotions since then.

If only Impact had a chance to redo his World Championship victory celebration by beating somebody who was less of a diva. Sadly, it was not to be.
