Ever happy for any excuse to yuck it up to the crowd - whether as babyface or heel - 'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan was handed a grand opportunity to oversell on the go-home WCW Nitro ahead of his Starrcade '97 encounter with Sting.

That episode of Nitro was billed as a Hogan celebration night, and that is exactly what is was for the most part. Eric Bischoff lavished praise, plaudits and gifts up Hollywood, yet there was one final gift waiting to be unwrapped during the closing moments of that Monday night offering.

Amidst some uncertainty as to who had sent this gift to Hollywood, Hulk opening the present saw the reveal that he'd been gifted his his own decapitated head, brother.

While the nWo star wasn't confronted by a full-on imposter of himself, per se, it would likely be even more traumatic to be presented with merely your own severed head. Well, if it wasn't for how cheesily over-the-top Hogan made the whole ordeal.

The person responsible for his heads-up would be Sting, who swiftly ziplined down from above the entrance ramp - ahead of a hugely anticipated match that ended up being an absolute farce.
