10 Times Wrestlers Were Confronted By THEMSELVES!

3. Doink The Clown

The very notion of having a wrestler be greeted by his own image is one that's a tad out-there, even by pro wrestling standards. Yet with the character of Doink the Clown, if all felt very par for the course when another Doink (played by Steve Keirn) turned up on the scene at WrestleMania IX.

Like, at the time it was obviously a nuts moment to see two Doinks gleefully staring back at each other for those of us who lived this event in real time. When reflecting back, though, it seems absolutely perfect.

There wouldn't just be two Doinks, mind, for there'd be smaller Dinks, Bushwackers as Doink, and a whole array of other wrestlers pulling on this gimmick for one-off appearances in the years since Matt Borne first wowed under the paint back in 1993.

Borne would unfortunately be fired at the end of '93 after being caught smoking weed in his hotel, and the Doink moniker would then be taken on by Ray Apollo. Away from WWE, Matt Borne would at times dabble with the Doink gimmick - even turning up as the character in a battle royal at the Raw 15th Anniversary in 2007 - before he sadly passed away in 2013.
