10 Times Wrestlers Were Literally Given Championships
6. Jeff Jarrett (WCW World Heavyweight Title)
As part of his master plan to reinvent WCW in his own image, bigoted gob sh*te Vince Russo envisioned perennial mid-carder Jeff Jarrett as the new face of the company.
Out with the old and in with the new, it didn't matter that his pal Jarrett had spent half a decade looking anything but a headline act, Russo had made his choice.
As part of his mission to establish Jarrett as a star capable of taking the fight to his former employer, Russo quickly booked Jarrett to become a multiple time world champion in the vein of Ric Flair.
Becoming a four-time WCW world champion in the space of 44 days, it was Jarrett's legendary third run as champion that saw him capture the strap by less than competitive means.
Having been beaten by Flair for the title a week earlier, Russo swerved the Nature Boy and stripped him of the title, handing it back to Jarrett to equal Vader's three reigns with the belt.
Jarrett wasn't able to hold on to the strap for long however, as Kevin Nash quite literally stole the title from the 'Chosen One' later than evening.
