10 Times Wrestlers Were Spooked FOR REAL

2. Macho King Cobra

Who could blame Randy Savage for absolutely sh*tting himself at the prospect of a King Cobra biting his f*cking eyes during an incredible 1991 segment with Jake Roberts and his terrifying reptile mate.

The whole scene played out exactly as it was supposed to, and even then it was as frightening as it was mesmerising. Roberts enraged the snake and held it just close enough to a part of Savage's arm that it could sink its fangs in nice and deep.

Too deep, in fact. Once the pair had got hundreds of money shots for the company, Roberts clearly had an issue trying to separate teeth from torn flesh. This was a reminder of the incredible risk here, as was the moment the snake slithered wildly before the bite, coming within a whisker of catching Savage's head instead.

The scene was chaotic enough without considering the Macho Man's known trust issues. To nearly have that very literally thrown back in his face.
