10 Times Wrestlers Were Spooked FOR REAL

3. Enzo Amore Forced To Face A Fear

WWE can be such a cruel company that even when characters emerge that invite such derision, they deem it necessary to double down.

In 2017, Enzo Amore had allegedly wound up enough of the locker room that the decision was made to separate his wildly successful unit with Big Cass in order to push the seven-footer and scale back his mouthy former mate. A series of mostly terrible matches and segments followed that did very little for either, including this needlessly weaponised stipulation match pitting Cass against The Big Show.

Show had played big mate to the bullied Enzo, and a shark cage was busted out in order to stop the babyface interfering in the big payoff. Why this, when the gimmick doesn't remotely fit the dynamic?

Because Amore was afraid of heights, silly. Forced to hang above the ring then scale down in order to get booted in the head, 'The Smacktalker Skywalker' tried and only occasionally succeeded in no-selling his terror as the peril very gradually eased.
