10 Times Wrestlers Were Spooked FOR REAL
1. New Jack (General)
There were few wrestlers that ever looked as terrifying to stand across the ring from than New Jack, and in real like the late Jerome Young seemed to like it that way.
Jack had to feel real. From dropping some uncomfortable home truths on the most isolated locals in Smokey Mountain Wrestling's strongest markets or bringing ultra-violence to the otherwise desensitised Extreme Championship Wrestling hardcores, the 'Original Gangsta' found a way to tap into fear as an emotion right as kayfabe began to dissolve around him.
Not that this was always for the betterment of his art. The oft-discussed Mass Transit incident needs no more mention than to be given that unofficial title, so shocking as it was in 1996 and still is now. Meanwhile, similar bouts of crossing the line with the likes of Vic Grimes and Gypsy Joe added as much to the aura around him as it did the disdain.
