10 Times Wrestlers Were Too Silly For Their Own Good

5. Charlie Haas

Most wrestling fans remember Charlie Haas for when he tagged up with his long-time partner Shelton Benjamin as either Team Angle of the World's Greatest Tag Team. During those runs, Haas enjoyed numerous victories as well as multiple runs as a Tag Team Champion. However, he never quite made it as a single's star, although he had the background in amateur and professional wrestling to make him a top contender.

Instead, Haas inevitably found himself in comical situations whenever he was flying solo, such as fighting with Viscera over Lillian Garcia or gaining super Lucha powers simply by slipping on a mask underneath the ring. He often found himself in such situations because he handled them quite well, often over-selling surprise or embarrassment.

Although WWE toyed with reuniting the wrestler with his former partner on several occasions, somehow Haas always slipped down to the bottom of the card, restricted to entertaining fans on Heat or during dark matches. The Lucha gimmick expanded over time as well, seeing Haas imitate current and legendary performers (not to mention Beth Phoenix), which forever painted him in an R-Truth-like position. If only he wasn't so good at being goofy, his in-ring skills would have been able to move him further up the card over time.
