10 Times Wrestling And Animals Didn't Mix
8. Pharaoh Vs. The All Out Crowd
The Nightmare Family wouldn't be complete without Cody and Brandi Rhodes' loyal mutt, Pharaoh.
The Siberian Husky has been a presence in AEW since the promotion's beginnings and would often feature as part of Being The Elite in the pre-AEW days.
Fans of Cody have really taken Pharaoh to their hearts - just look at him and say he isn't the goodest of boys - so you can imagine their displeasure upon seeing the loveable pooch in discomfort on pay-per-view.
At All Out in 2019, Pharaoh was part of Cody's entrance for his marquee match against Shawn Spears. The dog accompanied Cody and the rest of his entourage and everything was going swimmingly. That was, until the fireworks went off.
Now, dogs famously don't enjoy loud noises, especially when those loud noises are 10,000 screaming fans and several indoor mortars.
Pharaoh was visibly distressed by the noises, trying to run back up the tunnel as Brandi struggled to keep him on his leash. The whole thing was very poorly-planned and entirely avoidable, as the welfare of Pharaoh should have been put before anything else.
Both Cody and Tony Khan have expressed their regret at this decision and hopefully the promotion has learned its lesson when it comes to animals.
