10 Times Wrestling And Animals Didn't Mix

Triple H recently spoke about his infamous Hog Pen Match on a recent NXT media call. The Game rightly pointed out that the events of this match were not a punishment for his role in the Madison Square Garden "Curtain Call", which took place almost five months after this match.

Still, pretty embarrassing though.

At In Your House 5 (which had the incredible subtitle of "Seasons Beatings"), Hunter Hearst Helmsley took on Henry O. Godwinn in an Arkansas Hog Pen Match.

The objective was simple - throw your opponent into a pigsty at the top of the ramp. And yes, before you ask, there were real pigs in the pen.

The bout has gone down as one of the silliest gimmick matches the company ever put on and is a great reflection of the cartoony nature of mid-'90s WWF. Regardless of what you make of the actual wrestling before the hog pen portion, the only reason anyone remembers this match is because the future COO of a multinational company ended up covered in pig dung.

WWE tried the match again in 2009, this time pitting Vickie Guerrero against Santino Marella in his female alter-ego, Santina.

If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does.
