10 Times Wrestling And Animals Didn't Mix

Speaking of dumb gimmick matches featuring animals...

At Unforgiven 1999, Al Snow took on The Big Boss Man for the Hardcore Championship in the now-infamous 'Kennel from Hell' match.

At first glance it seemed like an interesting premise - the objective being to escape both a steel cage and the Hell in a Cell that surrounded ringside. However, what lay between these two structures is what confines this match to the pits.

A pack of *sarcastic cough* "rabid dogs" were positioned between the cage and the cell. This was because this was the feud that saw Big Boss Man kidnap, murder, and cook Al Snow's beloved dog, Pepper, before feeding the remains of the pooch to his unknowing ex-owner.

Makes the whole Pharaoh debacle seem tame by comparison, right?

The match was a total flop, as the dogs were more interested in pooping, mating, and just about everything else except participating. The entire selling point of the match had been rendered obsolete, as the good boys around ringside turned this blood feud into a laughing stock.

Between this and the All Out incident, it's clear that man's best friend has no place in the world of wrestling.
