10 Times Wrestling Championships Were Vacated For Bizarre Reasons
1. Nicholas Needs To Go To School
WrestleMania 34 witnessed the crowning of the youngest champion in WWE history. Braun Strowman earned the right to challenge Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 34 when he single-handedly won a No.1 contender's tag team battle royal.
He tried his best to let management allow him to compete alone at WrestleMania, but Kurt Angle announced he would get the title shot only if he could find a partner. Since he couldn't fool anybody trying to bring in his brother Brains, "The Monster Among Men" needed to devise a new plan.
He walked into WrestleMania 34 alone, but since he had to find a partner, he looked into the crowd and chose a 10-year-old boy named Nicholas, who also happened to be the son of the match referee, John Cone. While Strowman took care of most of the heavy lifting, there was a brief moment that would've seen Nicholas obliterate Cesaro, but Strowman tagged himself in before things could get ugly and went on to pin Cesaro to win the titles.
Nicholas became the youngest champion in WWE history, but since he also had a packed schedule with school, he couldn't fulfill his duties as the tag team champion. He and Strowman had to relinquish the titles the next night on Raw, but Nicholas vowed to come back for his crown once he finished up with school.
