10 Times Wrestling Fans Demanded Refunds

1. Daniel Bryan's Fast Count Stripped - Night Of Champions 2013

Triple H betraying Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam was a massive shock, and one which led to the newly crowned WWE Champion instantly losing the belt to Randy Orton after he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. An exciting build up to Night of Champions followed, and Bryan looked set to get his hands back on what was rightfully his. Well, he did! Fans noticed at the end though that referee Scott Armstrong's count seemed unusually fast, and speculation quickly began over whether he had simply screwed up or if this was all part of some sort of elaborate plan to once again take the belt from Bryan. Unfortunately, it would prove to be the latter, and the fan-favourite Superstar was stripped of the WWE Championship the following night on Raw. As you might recall, the reaction was not good! Fans livid with the decision contacted their cable companies and DID actually receive refunds (unlike many of the other times listed here where they simply wanted them). Some worried that this would create a dangerous precedent; you can't after all demand a refund if your favourite character on The Walking Dead is killed off! Members of the WWE Universe had a legitimate gripe here though as what they paid for had been deemed void on Raw. Little did WWE know at this time that they were creating a groundswell of support which would ruin their plans for Batista and set Daniel Bryan up to headline WrestleMania...
