In one of wrestling’s most controversial angles, Brian Pillman cemented his legacy as ‘The Loose Canon’.

BETRAYAL!

Kevin Kelly held a live interview from the Pillman Family home. Pillman was nursing an injured leg, which he suffered at the hands of Steve Austin, his former friend. The lines between real and scripted rapidly blurred when Pillman was informed that Austin was circling the neighbourhood. To further promote the disarray, Pillman ranted that his former friend had crossed the line between business and private.

GUNS!

‘The Loose Canon’ dropped his classic line detailing what would happen “when Austin 3:16 meets Pillman 9mm Glock”. He pulled out his gun, and aimed it ahead, as his wife Melanie cowered behind him. Austin beat his way through Pillman’s friends, going as far as to drown one in a kiddie pool.

MURDER?

When Austin smashed his way through the backdoor, Pillman had the gun aimed squarely at him when the feed cut out. Vince McMahon reported on commentary that explosions were heard on site, playing his part in the confusion with apparent genuine concern. The footage returned. However, in the chaos of the Pillman Home, ‘The Loose Cannon’ still had his gun aimed at Austin when the show ended.
