10 Times WWE Attitude Era Went Too Far
5. Beaver Cleavage
One of the worst Attitude Era angles of all-time involved a short-lived character named Beaver Cleavage. Cleavage was a child-like individual who was a bit too fond of his own on-screen mother.
The twisted Leave It To Beaver-inspired storyline mostly consisted of the kayfabe mother and son duo exchanging sexual innuendos. Sure, in those days, fans appreciated adult-themed storylines. However, incest generally doesn't mesh well with most audiences and wrestling enthusiasts are no exception.
Fortunately, WWE soon realised the angle was in very poor taste and scrapped the whole concept. The man who played cleavage, Charles Warrington (aka Headbanger Mosh), would go on to become Chaz. Chaz wasn't a particularly compelling character, but at least he didn't hit on his own mom. He did allegedly hit her in the storyline, until that was dropped too.
Beaver Cleavage was arguably the most ill-advised character WWE has ever created, which is really saying something. In truth, he was the sort of man that only a mother could love.
