10 Times WWE Babyfaces Were Heels Backstage
3. Eddie Guerrero
Bruce Prichard recently told a story on his podcast of Vickie Guerrero being one of the only people to meet 'Latino Heat's own anger when the two clashed backstage.
Eddie Guerrero's temper was well-known, but often played down because many considered it part of his charm. It was powerful enough to trigger actual fights with his colleagues though, including one infamous occasion he threw down with ultra-tough and technical Kurt Angle after tempers flared. It was his aforementioned wife that took the brunt of his verbal rage when he snapped mid-ring during a SummerSlam 2005 ladder match with Rey Mysterio, but the Royal Rumble earlier that year was perhaps the most blatant exhibition of his drilled-in cruel streak.
Along with colleagues and fellow list entrants Chris Benoit and Hardcore Holly, Guerrero took visible pleasure in attempting to carve open Daniel Puder's chest with blistering chops in order to dish out some delayed retribution for his perceived attitude problems. Amongst the infractions was his near-successful attempt to tap out Kurt Angle during his Tough Enough stint the prior year.
Though briefly able to sell the moment to forge brief stints on the independent scene and in MMA, Puder never truly recovered from the unpleasant situation he found himself attached to before he'd even debuted.
