10 Times WWE Blatantly Ripped Off Their Own Angles

10. This Is Your Life

Nobody who watched it will ever forget Mick Foley's brilliant 'This Is Your Life' tribute to The Rock. It's classic 'Attitude' era fare, and the kind of thing that was always going to come back up again in creative meetings when ideas were thin on the ground.

'What if we do this again?', came the war cry.

Then, it happened, and 'This Is Your Life: The Revenge' sucked hard. Alexa Bliss' attempt to mimic Foley's success on the 29 May 2017 episode of Raw was a train wreck; it tanked so badly that even Vince took the p*ss out of it recently on TV. McMahon had no problem admitting that the angle was agonising.

WWE had actually tried this before anyway. Foley himself was brought out to do a bit of comedic work with John Cena in 2011, and that didn't go down well either. Years later, Mick blasted the repeat on his Facebook page and called it one of his biggest regrets.
