10 Times WWE Completely Buried Ring Of Honor World Champions

3. Piefaced

Kevin Owens Pie
WWE

Falling foul of one of the oldest tricks in the book, Kevin Owens literally took a pie in the face from an assailant that to this day has never been identified.

It was unthinkable that he was mere months away from unexpectedly winning the Universal Title as he joined the bulk of the lost undercard in yet another clichéd WWE food fight, despite his best efforts to hide under the table from his colleagues, and most likely a few cameras.

As bulletproof as Owens tends to be thanks to his quick-wittedness, there was little he could do to talk himself out of the visual that made him look less like the 'Prizefighter' that adorned his t-shirt and more like a strolling downtown New York resident at the very end of Ghostbusters.

In hindsight, the selection of 'KO' for the part was perhaps a toxic jab at his weight. Since moving to SmackDown Live! in April's 'Superstar shake-up', superstars have tripped over themselves to draw attention to his kite, presumably parroting a company insider looking to bully him long enough to reshape himself with more pleasing aesthetic.

Joke's on them, of course. The pie looked delicious, and he barely lifted a finger as a member of 'Team Multinational Alliance' in the evening's main event.
