John Cena's decision to use his Royal Rumble title shot at No Way Out 2008 ended in disappointment when the match finished with a disqualification. The result left fans feeling short changed, as the highly anticipated match between the Doctor of Thuganomics and Randy Orton finsihed on such an anticlimax. The DQ finish meant that Cena's bold move to cash in early didn't pay off; it was pointless!
The story didn't end there. Despite the unsatisfying conclusion at No Way Out, Cena was eventually added to the WrestleMania title match, along with Triple H, anyway. This twist somewhat redeemed the situation, as it brought Cena back into the title match he rightfully earned.
