10 Times WWE Did Something You Never Thought Possible

3. Brought Sting To WWE

"It's STIIIIINNNNGGGG!" Sadly, Michael Cole wasn't as enthusiastic as Tony Schiavone.

The closure of WCW brought about what should have been an influx of impossible moments. There was an entirely new roster of talent to bring into WWE, and the possibilities were endless. But, as most fans know, it was a total bust. The WCW Invasion storyline was a complete disappointment, and most of the promotions biggest draws skipped out altogether.

Steve Borden, otherwise known as Sting, seemed to have the right idea by avoiding WWE. He'd seen many of his former peers ruined by the company and chose instead to help build TNA from the ground up. Throughout his post WCW career, one thing was constant: seeing him inside a WWE ring was unimaginable.

However, WWE managed to make it happen. Despite avoiding the McMahons for his entire career, Sting debuted for the company with an excellent ad for WWE 2K15, a HOF induction and a big appearance at the end of the 2014 Survivor Series PPV.

Did it end well? Of course not. Sting became yet another example of WWE's burial of ex-WCW talent. But, did WWE still make this once impossible dream come true? Yes, that they certainly did.
