10 Times WWE Didn't Realise Greatness Was Staring Them In The Face

5. Ricochet

Ricochet was lighting up the internet well before WWE scooped him up. The walking gif machine was widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers on the planet.

He was a decorated champion around the world, most notably in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where in 2014 he also won the prestigious Best Of The Super Juniors.

NXT proved that a human highlight reel like Rico could be presented as a star within the WWE system but he’s not much of a talker so Vince fed him to Brock Lesnar in a high profile squash. Since then the man once known as Prince Puma has failed to recover his momentum. His freakish athleticism is largely used as a tool to make other guys look good

Of course 'The Beast Incarnate' isn’t much on the mic himself and he still feels like the biggest deal in the company when he shows up. If only WWE could learn some lessons from that.
