1. Rarely Allowing Him To Show More Of His Personality
There was some buzz around the internet and media world when Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney slapped Wade Barrett across the face live on Monday Night Raw. The strike occurred on the November 9, 2015 episode of the show, and the wrestler theatrically decked it once the footballer connected. WWE didn't follow up on the incident. Some major media outlets in the UK, such as the BBC, were all over the story. Meanwhile, Wade Barrett continued to do next to nothing on WWE television afterwards aside from merely accompany his League Of Nations pals to ringside. Away from the ring, Barrett plays guitar and has a passion for music. He's also keen to continue acting, appearing in several WWE-produced movies. Why hasn't any of this been linked into his on screen persona? Surely allowing the man to show more of his natural charisma and charm would be better than awkwardly putting a crown on his head and asking him to act like a phony king? WWE didn't capitalise on the Wayne Rooney publicity, and they haven't worked on ensuring the man's personality is correctly displayed.
