10 Times WWE Fans Forced A Face Turn

9. Brock Lesnar

Putting Paul Heyman by his side must have seemed like a shrewd way of ensuring that Brock Lesnar wouldn't be cheered.

The only problem was that fans were beginning to cotton on to the fact that the ECW mastermind was a force for wrestling good. And, even if he wasn't, his continued insistence that Lesnar was a world-beating, record-setting Next Big Thing was kind of persuasive.

Cheered in his SummerSlam showdown with The Rock (which could, at the time, be put down to Rocky's coming career change), Lesnar would slowly prove in the months ahead that he wasn't just a flash in the pan. And, despite a complete lack of human characteristics, we grew to love him.

Unwilling to turn Heyman face too, WWE cooked up a storyline wherein the manager began to doubt his client's ability. He eventually ran off with Big Show instead, and left Lesnar a more sympathetic, emotionally vulnerable baby-face in the process.
